"At Home with Snuggs" is a series that revolves around individuals sharing their genuine and authentic menstruation experiences.

This month, we had the pleasure of sitting down with Ayesha Marr, a creative force who balances her work in production with modeling, content creation, and part-time floristry in London. We chatted about her career, her love for vintage, and her journey to period empowerment.

Q1- To begin with, would you mind introducing yourself, and giving us a brief overview of you, your work and what you
are all about?

Hi! I’m Ayesha. I work in post-production, and over the past few years, I’ve been a model, content creator, and part-time florist living in London. It’s hard to describe what I’m all about, but I’d say I love blending creativity, nature, and vintage influences into everything I do.

Q2- Can you tell us a little about your period/menstrual cycle? Do you suffer with cramps? Endometriosis? Had a unique experience?

My cycle has been pretty regular since I was 11. It’s only really been disrupted by hormonal contraception like the pill. The copper coil made my periods so painful that I decided to stop using it—I didn’t want to get used to the pain or put something in my body that didn’t feel right.

I’ve learned to prioritise my well-being. The cramps from the coil were unbearable, but now, I only get cramps from time to time depending on my stress levels or sugar intake.
